Juneteenth Celebration, July 19, 1999, Free Outdoor Concert at the Lake
charles Civic Center, 3 - 7 PM, featuring Gospel, R&B, and Zydeco. The children's area
includes, space walks, balloons, and caricatures. All participants and spectators will
receive information on the history of Juneteenth
Vendor space is available for $25.00. Vendors must supply their own tables and tents. Food
vendors must submit a health certificate to the Civic Center prior to the date. This is
the 2nd Juneteenth Celebration sponsored by the Black Heritage Festival(BHF). BHF began as
a once year event and now does 3 cultural celebrations a year. The oldest is BHF which
