- The Fourth Annual Juneteenth '99 Celebration in the park, sponsored by The National
Council of Negro Women - West Volusia Section in Deltona, Florida, will be held on
Saturday, June 19th at Wes Crile Park on Ft. Smith Blvd. from 9a.m. until 6p.m. Our day
will kick off with a tennis exhibition followed by a fun-filled day of program and
entertainment, vendors market, sports, activities for the kids and barbeque cuisine for
all. Vendor space available for $25 outdoors and $45 in the air conditioned gym.
"Deje" live Carribbean Band from Orlando, Florida will perform at 1p.m.,
followed by the Jr. Mine Boys of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Eatonville,
Florida. Teenage Stepper Groups, a Poetic Skit, 3-on-3 Outdoor Open Court Basketball,
Children's Jumpin' Jack and Sack Race, Local Authors Book Signing, Juneteenth PowerPoint
Presentation, and a "Players Recruited" Softball Game are only the highlights of

- Juneteenth of Tampa Bay will host the largest Juneteenth Celebration in the State of
Florida on Saturday and Sunday, June 19th and 20th, 1999 in Cambpell Park 601 14th Street
South, St. Peterburg, Florida. This celebration has it all. On Saturday, Blues legend
James Peterson, Sarasota Slim, and Hip-hop star Devin the Dude will provide live
entertainment and WTMP-AM Radio personalities and will provide other musical
entertainment. The Festival starts with local clergy will leading a Middle Passage Candle
Light Vigil on Friday, June 18,1999 at 7:00 pm. On Sunday, an incredible Gospel
Extravaganza will amaze all in attendance and over 46,000 pounds of food will be given
