It is taking place on Saturday, June 20, 1998 at the Havelock City Park from 9:00 AM unit 5 PM. The picnic is FREE because everyone brings their own necessities. Gather your family and food, and join the fun for this year's JUNETEENTH PICNIC in the park. Reading of the Emancipation Proclamation and the Thirteenth Amendment are planned and more information about this 135-year-old holiday will be available to those who attend.
