The Burlington, Iowa Branch of the NAACP is proudly sponsoring our 1st Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday June 20, 1998 in DeEdwin and Gladys White Memorial Park from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Many activities have been planned. All the local churches will perform on an hourly basis, 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, Juneteenth Talent Pageant, DJ, activity area for the children, crafts and food vendors, presenting certificates of appreciation to those in our community who have made a difference. Our theme is Let Freedom Ring and let us hear from you sharing some of your ideas. email - lindbrad@interl.net
