Gray June 19 - Omaha civic leader will speak during
UNMC's Juneteenth celebration on Friday, June 19 at
noon in the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater.
Free lunch will be provided to the first 40 attendees.
The event is sponsored by UNMC Human Resources and
the Employee Diversity Network (EDN). |

Mayhew
Cabin with John Brown's Cave - The Mayhew Cabin will
host another Juneteenth Celebration at 2012 4th Corso
(location of museum). The event will be Saturday, June
20th, from 1-6 p.m. The event includes a Nebraska
Humanities Council Program at 2 p.m. when Dr. Davis will
portray Abraham Lincoln. Other activities include music,
storytelling, living history demonstrations, Governor's
Proclamation, and a dinner theatre program. It is FREE
ADMISSION to the site for the event. |

Juneteenth Celebration will be at the Mayhew Cabin and
John Brown's Cave- 2012 4th Corso, Nebraska City. Our
event will feature music, speakers, kids' activities,
living history demonstrations plus free admission. The
event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 21, and
refreshments will be served.

- Mayhew Cabin & Historic Village - The Mayhew Cabin
is the only site in Nebraska recognized by the National
Park Service as part of the Underground Railroad and the
Network to Freedom. The event is at the Mayhew Cabin
grounds on June 16, 2007 from 11 A.M. to 5 P.M. It
includes tables with kids' activities, Nebraska
Humanities Council speaker (portrayal of Abraham Lincoln
and Sojourner Truth), music, reading of Governor's
proclamation, and speakers on Juneteenth and Nebraska's
Underground Railroad. Refreshments will also be served.

Lincoln and surrounding communities of the importance of
