the juneteenth association
of wlmar arkansas is currently in the process of raising funds for its annual june dinner
celebration. unlike many cities who have watched as their african american citizens
lose interest this most special of all holidays, wilmar has seen a surge of interest in
the past ten years. our june dinner can has been consistantly observed and
celebrated,except for one year, since aproximately 1870. yeah, that long. the
juneteenth association try very hard to provide various activities and entertainment for
all ages. We ensure our guest that once you experience a June Dinner, you'll be
back. our town is located in southeast arkansas. we are small in population,
but big on hospitality, hopes and dreams. we offer free entertainment and accept
donation throughout the year. We need all available funds and will listen to any
bona fide advice on obtaining said funds. If you wish to assist up in our quest,

Our celebtation is held every 3rd saturday in june. We start on the thursday night before
the 3rd saturday with a bon fire and dance. friday night is blues night. Saturday is
an all day event. come to wilmar, arkansas and see for yourself.
June 18- Pageant
June 19- "Bon-Fire" with DJ
June 20- Blues Night with a live band
June 21- Parade, Talent Expose, Motorcycle Burnout, Horse Show, Upcoming Groups R&B,
Rap & Pop Night with live Band and DJ throughout the day
June 22- Family Day at local churches and Gospel Concert with liveGospel Groups
All events are located on S. 7th St. in Wilmar, AR. People from all over attend these
events every year. Wilmar was the first town to have a Juneteenth Celebration formerly
called June Dinner.
