The Second Annual Juneteenth Inner Beauty Pageant will be Friday, June 16, 2000
at St. Paul CME Church 605 Pruitt St. Bolivar, TN time 7:00 p.m. The theme will be Guys
and Dolls. Contestant will be young men and woman between the ages of 14 & 18 Years
who are recommended by particpating churches. They will be judged on their inner beauty-
poise,talent,communcation skills and intellect- rather than on their physical beauty.
First, second, and third place winner of each sex will receive cashn prizes. A Celebration
of Life will be Saturday June 17, 200 at Bolivar City Park Sain Rd. Bolivar, TN. All
activites will start at 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. A folk festival for Multicultural Hardeman
County. Live entertainment, fun, and food. Something for all ages!!! 12:00-Opening

1st Annual Juneteenth Vegetarian Cook-Out We’re
having a progressive gathering of family,friends and community on Sunday, June 18th
at 3:00pm in commemoration of Juneteenth. The gathering will take place in a North
Nashville neighborhood cottage known as King’s Point. Families and Youth are
encouraged. "Juneteenth Inforamtion Packets" will be disseminated at the
