- The Nellis AFB (Las Vegas, NV) African American Cultural Association will sponsor a
Juneteenth Celebration Luncheon on June 16, 2000. This luncheon will be held at the Oasis
Enlisted Club at 1100L and will feature choirs, a short play, and a guest speaker. POCs

sponsoring organizaiton for our Juneteenth Celebration. This is the first in the City of
Las Vegas Our events include: June 18th Health Fair at Nucleus Plaza (sponsered by
Community Health Nevada)June 19th Black Dollar Day Luncheon Empowering Our Dollars June 17
black family reunion June 15 Youth Day! Arts and Crafts Free food and Prizes. Our events

- West Las Vegas Pride CDC is hosting a Juneteenth luncheon and panel
discussion at the California Hotel & Casino in the O'Hana Room at 11:30 a.m., Monday,
June 19. Confirmed panelists include Louis Overstreet from the Urban Chamber of Commerce,
Sherman Rutledge from KCEP Power 88, Dianne Fontes from the Nevada Minority Purchasing
Council, Phyllis Hardgrove from Housing and Urban Development and Lillian McMorris from
KVVU Fox 5. The cost for the luncheon is $20 per person. To obtain additional information
