5130 Brown Road. Free Admission. The celebration kicks off with a parade through the Town.
The celebration will feature gospel, jazz & R&B music, inspirational speeches,
skits, greek steip show, health education and screening, dunking booth, essay and poster
art contests, 3on 3 hoop action, praise dancers, free BBQ, other food, arts and craft
vendors. This event is sponsored by RCDA,Inc. Bring your umbrella, lawn chair and get

Foundation hosts a Juneteenth Celebration. The first event is a Decoration(Memorial) Day
Celebration, May 29,2000 at Lane Cemetary in Ethel, at 11:00 A. M., with a service of
remembrance for all buried there. On June 17, 2000, a parade, celebrating "Juneteenth
2000...To Be Free", starts the festivities. Games,Music, Religious Dancing, Quilts,
Art, Drill Teams, Military, Food, and More. The Finale will be an Aqua (Swimming)
Festival, June 24, 2000, where Swimming Style Demonstrations will be held, at 4:00 P. M. |
